Draft LWRP Plan Submitted8/24/2022 Draft LWRP Plan submitted to NYS Department of State for review. Please see documents to review a copy of the amendment
Hamlin, NY – The Town of Hamlin invites the public to participate in the update and development of our Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP). This plan is being prepared to identify issues and opportunities concerning our local waterfront areas and to identify potential projects and policies that will protect and enhance these locations. We have received a grant from NYS to update our plan, with anticipation that this will lead to funding for future maintenance and improvement projects through the NYS LWRP program. At our first public meeting in May, we asked the public to provide input regarding issues and opportunities related to environmental concerns and economic development around the Lake Ontario Shoreline region and upland areas. At this meeting, we are asking to public to discuss some potential project ideas that address the issues and opportunities for the town waterfront area. Due to ongoing COVID 19 concerns, we will be having a “drop in” style meeting on Wednesday Sept 15th at the Hamlin Town Offices, in the gymnasium. It will be held between the hours of 5-7pm. This meeting will be formatted to encourage one-on-one discussions with the committee members. We will have stations set up for each project idea with explanations and visuals to review. We will provide opportunity for feedback at each station. If anyone is interested in participating but is uncomfortable showing up at the public meeting, we will be posting information and providing opportunities for online feedback through our project website: HamlinLWRP.org.
